Pandemic : In the Lab Expansion

Race against time to sequence diseases and test cures in this Pandemic expansion. The Pandemic base game and On the Brink expansion are required to play. Clinical Trials New medical technology has been developed that will help treat the infectious diseases spreading across the globe. The In the Lab expansion for Pandemic adds more variety and challenge to your mission of containing deadly disease outbreaks. This time, there’s a whole new way to discover cures and get closer to winning the game. Travel around the board collecting samples of each disease in the field, then use the Lab board to sequence, characterize, and test your cures. Add sample cubes to one of the two lab dishes by taking the Treat Disease action. Once enough samples are collected, seal yourself behind bio-hazard doors and send the samples through the centrifuge and separator to place them on sequence cards in the correct order. If you can get a disease characterized and sequenced, you’re ready to find a cure! New Challenges In addition to the Lab Challenge, In the Lab provides two variants that shake up the Pandemic experience. Now you can take on the diseases by yourself in a solo game or split into two rival teams and race to cure and eradicate diseases, prevent outbreaks, and gain prestige. This is an expansion, the base game is needed. Contain the Infection Your job of curing deadly diseases is about to get more difficult. State of Emergency, the third expansion for the hit cooperative game Pandemic, introduces three modules that provide unique ways to play and give you greater control over each game's difficulty. Take on one of five new roles as you tackle the Hinterlands Challenge and investigate disease strains that jump from animals to humans. Travel to four locations spread across two new boards as you trace diseases to their source. If you don’t act quickly, they’ll soon spread to nearby cities and become even harder to contain. The Superbug Challenge raises the stakes even further by introducing a fifth disease that cannot be treated. Instead, players must collaborate to produce vaccine doses and eradicate the superbug before it’s too late. New Challenges, New Tools With State of Emergency, you can fine-tune the difficulty of your Pandemic games even further. Take greater control over the diseases, or make things more unpredictable. If diseases overwhelm you too often, use quarantine markers to slow down how quickly they spread. Use an action to impose a quarantine on a city and prevent the next two attempts to place disease cubes or perform an outbreak. If you want to inject increased difficulty into your games, the Emergency Event Challenge is for you. Pandemic: The Cure In this dice-based version of Pandemic, curing diseases that plague humanity comes down to a roll of the dice—literally! Roll Your Dice Pandemic: The Cure is a stand alone, dice-based version of classic cooperative Pandemic board game. Just like the original, you win or lose together as your team travels the globe treating diseases and keeping hot spots in check while researching cures. In this version, though, rolling dice determines everything from the outcome of your actions to the behavior of diseases. Each character has both a unique ability and a set of dice you roll at the start of each turn. Depending on the results, you can fly or sail between population centers, treat diseases in your region, collect samples for further study, or exchange information with other players. Try for the perfect turn by rerolling your unused dice, but each biohazard symbol that comes up brings you one step closer to the next epidemic. Roll for a Cure Dice represent more than just actions in Pandemic: The Cure. Each round, roll new infection dice and assign the results to regions around the world. An outbreak occurs if more than three dice of the same color occupy the same region, thereby spreading disease into adjacent regions. You can lock one of your dice to collect disease samples and fend off global disaster. Once you have enough, roll the collected samples of one color to attempt to find a cure.
