On the 5th anniversary of the release of the best-seller by Richard Garfield, King of Tokyo gets a facelift with a new version, entirely redone by a group of artists lead by Regis Torres, who previously illustrated the Halloween expansion pack and King of New York.
In addition to these exclusive illustrations, this new version will have a new rule-book that was reworked to be clearer, as well as two new monsters: the ever-so-popular Space Penguin (the original version, highly sought-after by players, was only available through tournaments) and Cyber Kitty.
Play mutant monsters, gigantic robots and other monstrous creatures, rampaging the city and vying for position as the one and only King of Tokyo!

Have you ever wanted to be a Godzilla-like or King Kong-esque giant monster and trample a major city? Stupid question, right? EVERYONE dreams of flattening a city as tiny people flee from your giant stomping feet. Well, King of Tokyo and it's successor, King of New York, bring those dreams to life as you fight other monsters (and sometimes some human military) for dominion over the titular cities. Essentially a 'king of the hill' game, a monster in the city earns extra points and can attack all other players, while every monster outside the city gets to gang up on the 'king'. They earn points and attack each other by rolling beautiful, chunky custom dice Yahtzee-style (one roll and up to two rerolls of whichever dice you don't want to keep). Along the way you can gain energy to buy upgrade cards that maybe give you a spiked tail or allow you to grow a second head. The winner is the first monster to get to 20 points, or the last monster standing (having reduced everyone else's starting 10 health to zero). The King of ... games are light, fast and fun, and are suitable for families and beginner gamers, as well as seasoned gaming fans.
