Articulate : Phrases

The mechanics remain the same as in the original Articulate!, but rather than you're partner/team having to guess a single word, they have to guess a number of phrases or proverbs from cards drawn within a specific time limit (provided by a sand timer). The team then move their pawn a number of spaces around a board dependent upon the correct number of phrases they guessed. The board spaces determine the next rounds subjects from the cards drawn - Everyday, Pot Luck, Sayings, Leisure and a Free-For-All space. The winner is the first team to cross the finish line by making a circuit of the board, and then being first to answer the Free-For-All question.Ages: 12+ | Players: 4 - 20+

Articulate for Kids

It's the fast talking description game... for kids! If you know Articulate! then you’ll understand this right away: it's the same multi award-winning, stupendously successful household name fast-talking game – but with over two thousand new topics compiled by an educational specialist to be suitable for kids aged 6-12. It's a perfect team game for when friends are round – even for big groups (we reckon up to twenty children). But that's not all! With the question cards featuring the same six categories as in the original, you can easily integrate Articulate for Kids into the grown-up version. So the youngsters can proudly step up to the mark and compete alongside the whole family in one of those sessions of gabbling and gesticulating that only Articulate! can provide. It's funny and it's frantic; Articulate for Kids proves that Articulate! is the game of absolutely universal appeal! Ages: 6+ | Players: 4 - 20

How quickly can you describe a word without actually saying it? Speed is of the essence in this fast-thinking, fast-talking game - the more words your team can guess from your descriptions in 30 seconds, the quicker you'll cross the finishing line. And that's without saying 'rhymes with' or 'sounds like'. As your team-mates shout out their guesses you struggle to Articulate a better description! Articulate uses 6 categories of words, so you could end up describing anything from a kettle to a country depending on which category you've landed on... from Object, Nature, Action, World, Person or Random. To spice things up further Articulate throws a "Spinner" in the works to encourage sabotage: land on an appropriate segment and spin the spinner to win bonus places, move yourself forward or indulge your vicious streak and drag the leaders back! And if you thought that was mean, wait till one team lands on a Control Segment. Then it's a free-for-all of epic proportions that would drown out the Tower of Babel! Categories include Person, World, Object, Action, Nature and Random. First team to make it around the board and successfully answer a spade category (chosen from any of the above) wins the game. Articulate is the perfect game to suit any time, any setting and any group, even those which include stroppy teenagers and Granny! When it comes to fast, frenzied fun and exhilarating entertainment, Articulate simply has no rivals! When the shy start yelling, the cocky turn puce, and everyone's gripped with the giggles - you know Articulate is working its magic. Ages: 12+ | Players: 4 - 20

Up to two thousand pounds in weight and over ten feet tall, the bear is considered the biggest and heaviest terrestrial carnivore in the world. Of course, there is not just "one bear"; on the contrary, there are plenty of subspecies that differ from each other in various aspects. For instance, only the Kodiak bear (ursus arctos middendorffi) weighs about 2,000 lbs. The polar bear (ursus maritimus) weighs "only" 1,100 lbs., but gets much bigger than the Kodiak bear, being as much as 11 ft. tall! Bärenpark takes you into the world of bears, challenging you to build your own bear park. Would you like another polar bear enclosure or rather a koala* house? The park visitors are sure to get hungry on their tour through the park, so build them places to eat! Whatever your choices are, make sure you get the next building permit and use your land wisely! (* No, koalas aren't bears but they're so cute, we couldn't leave them out of this game!) In more detail, each player in Bärenpark builds their own bear park, attempting to make it as beautiful as they can, while also using every square meter possible. The park is created by combining polyomino tiles onto a grid, with players scoring for animal houses, outdoor areas, completed construction, and more. The sooner you build it, the better!
