Catan : Dice Game - Standard Edition

Would you like to play a game? The Catan Dice Game is great for play on-the-go or during those moments "in between." It is easy to learn and doesn’t take long to play. You can even play it as a single-player game. In the dice game version of “Catan,” you also build settlements, roads, cities, and knights. Here, however, building doesn't mean placing wooden or plastic game pieces on a game board. Instead, each player has a sheet depicting a smaller version of the island of Catan. You build by filling in the respective symbols for roads, knights, settlements, and cities. Building a road, settlement, or city costs the same resources as in the big brother version of the game, but the way you obtain the required resources is completely different. On your turn, you may roll 6 special dice up to three times. After each dice roll, you may either set aside part of the dice or roll all dice again. Each side of a die depicts one of Catan's resources: brick, lumber, wool, grain, ore, or gold.
For example, if you roll 2 lumber, 2 brick, 1 grain, and 1 wool, you may build - i.e., fill in - a road and a settlement. Of course, you also must observe certain rules when building. At the beginning of the game, the first road is already depicted as a built road. Starting from this road, you continue building more roads. Each road built is worth 1 point. The order in which settlements and cities must be built corresponds to the number of points they are worth, from low to high. The points for building a settlement increase from 3 to 11, and the points for building a city even rise from 7 to 30. Since you can build a city or settlement only adjacent to an already built road, you might often find yourself in a situation where you wonder whether you should build a city, which is more lucrative but more difficult to build, or a settlement, which is less lucrative but easier to build. And what is the task of Catan's knights? Well, each of the 6 terrain hexes depicts the contours of a knight.
If you build (fill in) a knight, once during the game you may use the resource of a terrain hex where a knight was built in place of another resource of your choice.
That is, after the third dice roll you may turn one of the dice so that the resource corresponding to this knight's hex is face up. After building, you enter your points in one of the 15 boxes depicted on your sheet. The game ends after each player has finished 15 turns. The player with the highest score wins. In the dice game described above, each player individually tries to get the best score; in the “Plus” version, however, the players directly compete with each other.
As in the “Catan” board game, in the Dice Game “Plus” each settlement you have built is worth 1 victory point and each city is worth 2 victory points. Furthermore, if you are the first player to build 3 knights, you may mark the “Largest Army” on your sheet, and if you are the first player to build 5 roads, you mark the “Longest Road.” The "Largest Army” and the “Longest Road” are each worth 2 victory points; if another player builds more knights or roads than you, you lose the 2 victory points. The first player to reach 10 victory points wins the game. Ages: 7+ | Players: 1 - 4 |  Playtime: 20 - 40 minutes

Can you become the best dairyman of the farm? In clockwise order, players take turns to roll all dice, and must lock one set of dice that have a sum of exactly 10. They may repeat this process until they want to pass. They may then trade their dice of 10s for milk tile(s) of equal value. If they fail to roll a sum of 10, their turn ends immediately and they will get a snow token as a compensation, which mat be used to flip the milk tiles later in the game to earn extra points or gain special abilities. Dirty Words

LOOKING FOR A GOOD TIME? GET DOWN AND DIRTY WITH DIRTY WORDS Irresistibly Fast-Paced Sentence Building Game for Adults Only -Dirty Words- an adults-only fast-paced game that asks players to build the dirtiest sentences they can in just three minutes. The game comes with 23 dirty word dice, a timer, and a scoring pad, and is easy to pick up and play any-time you are looking for fun. Dirty Words is the perfect game for just two people or a whole gang as players get a quick fix of laughs and see who is the M.D.W. (Master of the Dirty Word). The game’s 23 dice feature words like blow, thigh, erect, whip, member, moan, and sweaty, as well as all the basics needed to make complete sentences. Players have three minutes to build as many sentences as they can. They are then scored on how many dice they use as well as how many dice are left behind. The longer the sentences, the higher the score. The dirtier the mind, the better the sentence. Dirty Words builds on this massively popular trend of adults-only, ridiculously funny and not-always -politically correct style of games. The dice themselves don’t necessarily have “dirty” words on them, unless the players read them that way. So, it really comes down to who has the dirtiest mind. Dirty Words is all about enjoying a whole lot of laughs while tapping into your creative -and totally inappropriate -side. Definitely not a game for kids or people who lack a dirty sense of humour.”

Lawless Empire

Lawless Empire A game of Lawless Empire transports you to the seedy underworld, where you walk in the shoes of a Mafioso, vices and all. Using the unique dice mechanics of the game, you will scheme, bribe, extort, recruit, and command syndicates in order to fulfill your persona agenda, winning only if you meet more conditions stated on your hidden Mafioso card than other players by the end of 5 rounds. There are many paths to victory; strategise by building your empire with filthy lucre, or recruit various soldati to carry out your dirty jobs and dominate the syndicates early. To emerge triumphant, you must learn to negotiate and manipulate your opponents ruthlessly. Game-play: Each player is dealt a hidden mafioso identity (E.g. Godfather, Don, Informant) at the start of the game. Scoring conditions are specific to each identity, and the score for each player will be tallied after 5 rounds of gameplay. Much of Lawless Empire revolves around dice placements. Dice are tactically allocated to the various plans in the fight for bribery tokens, lucre tokens, new soldati, and control of syndicates. Players can ask for assistance from other players after they gain control of a syndicate. Controlling or assisting a syndicate will allow players to give hidden orders to the syndicate. There are 2 types of orders with varying strengths: to secure or to sabotage. Orders given to syndicates will be revealed at the end of 5 rounds to determine if each syndicate is secured or sabotaged. Depending on your mafioso, you will score based on how many syndicates are secured or sabotaged, and/or whether you control or assist the syndicates. The distinctive feature of Lawless Empire shines through its workings of dice control and interactions, abetted by soldati power and scheme cards. Concealed scheme cards are played on each plan by the players, sneakily altering how each individual plan is won. For example, a plan is normally won by the player with the highest total value of dice allocated to it, but the “Underhand Attacks” scheme card dictates that the player with the lowest total value wins instead. On the other hand, your soldati will grant you the ability to control the dice (including your opponent’s) after their placement (e.g. to move or exchange dice around plans, or even rotate a dice to any value). This combination of allocation, scheme cards, and soldato abilities presents a fresh take on the otherwise luck-dependent dice mechanics, thus ensuring a thrilling and compelling game without repetition. The hidden elements in the game (mafioso, scheme cards, syndicate orders) provide a good setting for players to bluff, negotiate, persuade, and trash talk. However, players who are intimidated by such interactions can be assured that the game can be won by outwitting everyone. Ages: 16+ | Players: 3 - 5 |  Playtime: 90 - 120 minutes
